Some of us stepped away. Sold everything, packed Some of us stepped away.

Sold everything, packed our gas and chose something different.

We believe time is the real currency and hustle culture is overrated.

🌎 Have you unsubscribed from any of these American culture norms?
We grew up in the 90s. We played outside alone, We grew up in the 90s.

We played outside alone, walked to our friends’ houses, rode bikes, made up games. No one planned it for us.

Now, as moms, we want to give our kids trips too, but somewhere along the way, that turned into all-inclusive resorts, travel agents doing the research for us, and theme parks where spending $12K feels normal.

And I get it, it feels magical.
But at the same time… you’re spending that $12K standing in lines, overpaying for food and parking, and calling it “making memories.”

Here’s the part no one tells you:
Traveling abroad with your kids can take less time and effort than a week at Disney.
You don’t need a fast pass to show up.
You just go.

I think a lot of us are scared to “waste” our PTO, so we default to convenience.
We book what’s familiar. We let someone else plan it.
Because that’s what life has trained us to do: Amazon Prime, one-day delivery, drive-through everything.

But when you strip that away and travel on your own terms?
You get back the good stuff.
The boredom. The nature. The time together.

And that’s the stuff our kids actually remember. 🌿

✈️ Would you be ready to trade convenience for travel abroad?

🌍Follow @wanderlust.haaks for proof you can travel abroad with your kids!
I couldn’t make this up if I tried. We flew 24 I couldn’t make this up if I tried.

We flew 24 hours from Singapore to New York with a short refuel stop in Germany and honestly, Singapore Airlines economy? Incredible.

The kids handled it like champs and my 3 year old slept or watched movies the entire flight.

But the second we landed in the U.S.?
She started to cry. She was exhausted. Who could blame her?

And then every head turned to look and started to complain.

Like really??? 😮

🌍 It got me thinking, maybe it’s not the kids who need to stay home. What do you think!?

Because what I really want is freedom of time. Wh Because what I really want is freedom of time.

When my kids say, “Can we go there?” I want to say yes.
To give them experiences instead of toys they’ll forget about next week.

To show them the world, not just point to it on a map.
To let them feel other cultures, hear new languages, and see how big life really is.

That’s the dream.
Not more stuff, but more time to live.

✈️ What do you want, more kids or something else?
